Firebeast w/ Toppling Goliath ($22/500 mL Bottle): 13.1% Imperial Stout brewed with Muscovado aged in Cinnamon Whiskey and High-Malt Whiskey Barrels

Drenched in Green w/Other Half ($21/4-pack): 8.2% In 2021 we visited Other Half (Washington, DC) to brew Cone Concentrate – a DIPA with Omega’s Cosmic Punch® and loads of Simcoe and Simcoe Cryo. It was so good we invited them up to brew a similar batch at Sapwood! We blended Simcoe from each brewery for added depth of mango and pine, plus 50% more oats and wheat than usual for an extra-luscious base!

Understated Lies ($19/4-pack): 7.0% This is the extra-fruity and extra-creamy recipe for Exaggerated Truth, with a twist… Motueka! This variety from New Zealand brings spice and a lime-zest aroma that melds beautifully with the suggestion of lemongrass from the Cashmere. The hops mingle with passionfruit and banana notes from the blend of English ale and Hefeweizen strains.

Culinary Diplomacy ($20/4-pack): 7.0% Like many countries (including the US) Thailand engages in culinary diplomacy. They spend money to standardize and improve Thai restaurants all over the world. Their goal is to boost tourism and increase positive opinions of their county. It worked on us apparently… we borrowed the flavors of green curry for this IPA! It’s a little spicy, but the focus is on the beautiful aromatics of galangal (a cousin of ginger), lime leaf, Thai basil, and coconut!
