Saturday 7/3 we’ll release two beers in bottles! Guava Salzig (mixed-ferment gose with pink guava) and Fellow Feeling (wine-barrel-aged blend with red wine grapes and black currants)! We’ll have kegs of both on tap for the release and Hotdog Hideout will be at the tasting room!
Guava Salzig – $8/500 mL Bottle (Limit 6)
Gose brewed with Salt and Coriander Seed with Pink Guava Added
We love our base gose, Salzig (German for “salty”). It’s a traditional mixed-fermentation with Lactobacillus and Brettanomyces. Subtle, tart, and citrusy. This version with a massive 700 lbs of pink guava is anything but traditional or subtle. The fruit adds an intense tropical flavor and increased acidity.
Brewed: 3/30/21 – Bottled: 6/1/21
Alc/Vol: 5.3% – Final pH: 3.38
Bottle Count: 1344 – Cellar: We’d Rather You Didn’t
Fellow Feeling – $16/500 mL Bottle (Limit 2)
Sour Ale Aged in Oak Barrels with Grapes and Black Currants Added
This sour blends two beers with two fruits. Malty red and amber sour ales join forces to balance the intensity of red wine grapes (Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc) and black currants. The grapes provide a vinous backdrop for the potent cassis aromatics. The balance is firmly acidic, with a drying finish.
Brewed: Oct/Dec 2019 – Bottled: 5/19/21
Alc/Vol: 8.9% – Final pH: 3.09
Bottle Count: 768 – Cellar: 3 years
