Event Details

Saturday December 17th we’re releasing a new bottle and four new cans! All five will be on tap 2 PM Friday, and pre-orders will start Friday afternoon (join our mailing list to be the first to know).

BSCV 2022 (Bourbon Stout Coconut Vanilla) ($24/500 mL): 12.1% Imperial Stout with Coconut, Macadamia Nuts, and Coffee.

We started with a base of four different barrels: #103 – Lord Rupert in Basil Hayden Double Oak, #115 – Flaked Base in Traverse City Whiskey, #122 – Big Brown in Sagamore High Rye, and #129 – Edge Piece Base in Sagamore Low Rye. We used our infusion tank to add a blend of toasted and untoasted coconut, and vanilla beans from Papua New Guinea vanilla beans (big marshmallow) and Comoros (with rich chocolate-like aromatics). The result is a big beautiful sweet, barrel-forward, roasty, chocolatey stout covered in coconut!

New Hop Crop Max ($12/2-pack): 9.7% TIPA with Citra and Simcoe Cryo

Around this time last year we brewed New Hop Crop with our fresh 2021 Yakima Chief harvest hops. We did the same this year with the 2022 harvest… just ramped up to a triple IPA! The first dose was equal parts standard T90 pellets followed by a second dose of equal parts double-concentrated Cryo. The result is brimming with melon, citrus, and mango… that’s what we’re hoping for anyway as we write this a few days before the hops arrive at the brewery!

Vanillafort Max ($13/2-pack): 9.7% TIPA with Vanilla Beans

When we opened we weren’t expecting to have a budget line-item for vanilla… but we do now! We first created Vanillafort four years ago as a 10 gallon variant; that single keg of vanilla-bean-infused Pillowfort! This one amps up the intensity with a stronger-hoppier base and even more vanilla! We combined vanilla beans from Madagascar and Papua New Guinea for creamy-marshmallow-clouds layered on citrus and tropical hop aromatics.

Smüzí Raspberry Whip ($23/4-pack): 6.0% Smoothie Sour with Raspberry Puree and Soft Serve Mix

A Sapwood smoothie sour… what a time to be alive! We loaded this batch with raspberry puree, and Dole Whip (vegan soft-serve ice cream mix). It’s sweet with a thick texture from all of the fruit and the richness of the soft serve. Each sip is like digging into a bowl of raspberry gelato!

Cramped Cryovolcano ($17/4-pack): 5.5% Pale Ale DDH with Mosaic Cryo and Citra

Ever want to drink a Cryovolcano after raking leaves or while cooking dinner, but grab something lower ABV instead? Our goal with Cramped Cryovolcano was to cram all of the same saturated berry Mosaic and citrusy Citra hop aromatics into a more drinkable package! We upped the oats and wheat to ramp up the mouthfeel as well.
