We’ll be open from Noon until 8 PM for pick-up of online purchases of Cheater Hops #13, Plush Pop, and Snip Snap. To speed things up and limit contact, there won’t be any tasting room sales of to-go cans. Pre-sales will start Friday afternoon (8/7) through our website. Pick the beer and pick-up window you prefer. There won’t be to-go can sales on Saturday.

Due to our limited tasting room and outdoor seating capacity, there likely won’t be many available tables to stay and have a beer, but if find one we’ll have the beers on draft to drink. We’ll also have the Just Jazz food truck if you are hungry.

Sour Ale with Raspberry, Lime Zest, and Vanilla Beans Added

This isn’t your typical Sapwood Cellars sour beer. It wasn’t aged in barrels. It wasn’t mix-fermented by a wild culture. We didn’t source local fruit. What it does have is loads of fruit flavor from freeze-dried raspberries and fresh lime zest, plus a heap of Tahitian vanilla beans! It’s the sort of sour beer we want to drink on a hot summer day where a refreshing beverage is more important than nuance and complexity!

IPA DDH with Mosaic® and Simcoe®

A handful of hop varieties pack such appealing aromatics that brewing with them is like cheating. We named our ever-changing series of IPAs “Cheater Hops” in their honor. We are honest brewers, that’s why we can admit when we cheat!

We gave Cheater Hops #13 a base of malted barley, oats, and wheat. We then double dry-hopped with over four pounds-per-barrel of Simcoe® for its mango and pine characteristics and Mosaic® for its bright dank-fruitiness. A bit of sweetness and a hint of vanilla from our house English ale brings it all together!

DIPA DDH with Citra® and Galaxy™

November 15th, 2018 was discouraging. An icy-mix caused the scheduled food truck to cancel and beer drinkers to stay home. We sat around the tasting room trying to figure out how to let people know our six-week old brewery existed. We discussed hiring someone to twirl a “Beer Here” sign… The next day we tapped Snip Snap and everything changed.

We’ve come a long way, but this is still the first batch of Snip Snap both brewed and canned at our brewery! As usual we double dry-hopped with Citra® and Galaxy™, two of our favorites. They work together to create an immense aroma of passionfruit, melon, and citrus on a creamy backdrop overloaded with oats and wheat.
