Job Overview and Opportunities
Sapwood Cellars is hiring part-time Beertenders to join our team! Previous bartending experience or beer knowledge is certainly a plus, otherwise, you must be willing to learn both!

Responsibilities
Customer Service

Assist customers in their beer selections by effectively communicating information about our beer styles and brewing process.

Anticipate guests’ service needs, including asking questions of guests to understand better their needs and watching/listening to guest preferences, and acting on them whenever possible

Address guests’ service needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner

Bar Service

Effectively understand our products and methodology to be able to make recommendations to guests

Serve pours in accordance with Sapwood’s quality standards

Operate and troubleshoot draft equipment and move and change kegs as necessary

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area

Open and close according to Sapwood’s opening and closing procedures

Assist during private events and special releases as necessary

Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Availability
At least some weekday opening availability is a must (1:30 PM Tues-Fri)

Physical Requirements: Able to carry ~50 pounds (cases or beer, sixtel kegs, etc.)
